Hello everyone and welcome to my DeviantArt page! Over time, you may find me to be quite a chatterbox, but for now I have planned the journal on DeviantART to be strictly speaking of visual arts-related thoughts and ideas. I am also in the progress of moving a personal Wordpress website into a more broadly read community on Blogger.com, so I'll try not to be redundant in my writing.

I have just dived into making this DA account an hour ago. It strikes me as rather ironic that I am only starting this now when I'm no longer studying the arts but applying my past knowledge when student groups or professionals need my expertise. At the same time, I find that the quality of art on DA seems to be improving exponentially, beyond that of a "I'm just on here to do art for fun but not for any professional aim" mentality, which deterred me from making an account for a very long time. It is not to say that my life would be wrapped around professional dissemination of arts, but I would like to learn from a community of great people actually living the art life if given the chance.

Later on this week, I shall hunt about for some of the higher resolution images of my older work, as only my mid-res works are on my laptop at this particular moment for my personal website. I also want to photograph some of my traditional artworks, even if they can fit within a 9x12" scan-bed. My scanner is none too high quality and it flattens my shading or mediums too much. This will probably take a few weeks (on top of my never-ending papers and job-hunting - t'is the season), so please be patient!
